NURSERY NEWSLETTER - SPRING TERM 2011
STAFF NEWS
Congratulations to Miss Claire (Lower Nursery) who is due to have her first baby in May, we wish her well for this exciting event.
TOPICS
Later on this term we will be starting a new topic 'People who help us'. At Deepdene we often invite visitors to the Nursery to talk to the children and extend their vocabulary and experiences. We will be arranging for some exciting people to come in and talk to us as part of this topic.
During February and March we will have visits from the following people:-
The lovely Nurse Martin will come in with her bandages and stethoscope to talk to the children about her role.
The Fire-Fighters will come to Deepdene with their fire-engine. The children will have the opportunity to board the fire-engine and have a turn with the fire-hoses.
P.C. Vicky who is our local Liaison Officer will be coming to talk to the children, touching on 'Stranger Danger' appropriate to their ages.
And finally the school dentist will be coming to see us, and talking about the importance of brushing our teeth and not eating too many sweets!
We are proud to say that on Friday 20th January, the Booth Museum of Natural History, Dyke Road, Brighton will be exhitibing our Year 5's prints in an Art Exhibition. The children in Year 5 studied print making last term, in their Art lessons. This display will last for several weeks. Please do try and see it if you can.
