It has been another exciting week at Deepdene.
On Wednesday the Year 1 children accompanied Mrs Mills and Ms Hayward to Roedean School to take part in a workshop with the sixth formers. The aim of the workshop was to give the Roedean pupils experience working alongside young children. They used the book ‘The Tiger who came to Tea’ to make props to retell the story together. The Year 1 class loved it and taught the Roedean students a lot about the book.
Interviews for senior positions began in the Upper School this week. The children have applied for a first and second choice of position and have written letters of application. Mr Blond was part of the interviewing process and was very impressed with the high calibre of candidates. The positions will be announced next week and we are sure every child will make their role a great success.
Thank you to those that attended the Internet Safety Meeting. We hope that you found the information helpful.
The Upper school children have begun a new programme at Roedean this week. They will now be taking part in enrichment Science and Sports every Thursday. This is a fantastic opportunity to use Roedean’s facilities and experience Science in a secondary school setting.
Jeans for Genes day has been a huge success and it was great that everyone took part with such enthusiasm. We have raised £164.80. Thank you for your support.
We hope you have a lovely weekend.
Mrs Gane, Mrs Mills and Ms Hayward
