Welcome back to school. We hope that you all had a lovely half term break.
Holiday club certainly made the most of their time and enjoyed trips to Drusillas and Brighton Pier among others.
Mrs Slaymaker also arranged a trip to Glyndebourne to see L’elisir d’amore. For the children this was their first taste of opera and they loved the experience. They took in the beauty of the place while watching a love story unfold. It was a fabulous experience.
The children were very excited to share all their Halloween experiences with us this week. The Reception children continued the spooky theme by focussing on the key text ‘Funny bones’ by Janet & Allen Ahlberg. They wrote creepy story maps, labelled a giant skeleton and guessed what was in the scary potions.
We are still collecting shoe boxes for the shoe box appeal. Please keep these coming in.
On Thursday we played a football match against Shoreham College. Mr Adams was pleased with the way everyone played and he thinks we have a lot of talented players. Well done!
We are expecting a very busy week next week with Remembrance Day, Anti-Bullying week and Children in Need so please keep an eye on your upcoming parentmails.
