Dear Parents

What a wonderful time was had by all last weekend, helped of course by the amazing weather. Thank you so much for all the photos. We have loved seeing them and have posted lots on our social media platforms and on the VE Day page on DB. We were so impressed by the effort that was made by so many.

We loved seeing the photos of the children dressed up in 1940’s costume, the fabulous decorated houses, gardens and pets getting into the VE Day spirit. The bunting and the flags looked wonderful. The cakes looked mouth-watering as well as the picnics both inside and outside of your houses. We can safely say we made the most of the lockdown situation. We are sure that the children will have wonderful memories of the day to treasure forever.

A polite reminder…please can we continue to help the children to stay organised by having a specific place at home to store all their work. Ideally this would be near where they are having their lessons for easy access. Possibly they need to purchase a folder so that each lesson’s work is stored in a section of that. Lessons often begin with a recap of the last lot of learning and so they need to access to all their work.

And finally, as we now move towards Half Term the teaching team are planning for the next stage of learning whether it remotely or in school, we will be in touch as soon as we can with these plans.
We wish you a lovely weekend.

Best wishes

Mrs Gane, Mrs Mills and Ms Hayward
