Dear Parents

As the fourth week of remote learning comes to a close and we have all got used to a new ‘normal’ we would like to reflect by saying how amazing the children have been in adapting to new routines and systems. They have worked with conviction and resilience to be the best that they can be in all they set their minds to. The staff at Deepdene are very proud of the children.

We would like to thank the teachers who have worked harder than ever this term, juggling their own families and teaching to provide a stimulating and exciting online learning experience for everyone. We would also like to thank you as parents for stepping up as ‘parent teachers’ to support your children at home during very difficult circumstance going beyond just academic guidance. The Deepdene community of children, parents and teachers is a happy, strong and caring community.

When school begins again for the second half of the Summer Term we will again be meeting new challenges. Some of us will be physically present at school whereas others will be continuing to work from home. The experiences for both groups will, we are sure bring fresh experiences to navigate, but we know together we will able to face new challenges with resilience and aptitude.

We wish you a healthy and peaceful half term.

Best wishes

Mrs Gane, Mrs Mills and Ms Hayward
