School has been a very different place this week with many children still learning remotely and others in their protected class ‘bubbles’ in different areas of the school building. It has been quieter than normal!
Although the Reception, Year One and Year Six children have been excited to meet up physically with their friends and teachers, they are missing everyone else who is waiting patiently to return to Deepdene. Learning routines at school are excellent; the children are working hard and continue to follow the Golden Rules with the added social distancing challenge.
The children at home have embraced their new remote learning timetables despite a few technical hiccups earlier in the week. Well done everyone for their ‘Keep calm and carry on’ spirit. The year groups working from home appear to be really enjoying the subjects on offer on their Summer timetable. We have loved seeing the amazing work that you have produced and uploaded to DB.
It has been lovely to peek into some of your virtual lessons from school. We are all immensely proud of you for continuing your commitment to learning.
We wish you a lovely weekend.
