A huge congratulations to Cameron for gaining the position of runner up in the Springboard Junior championship last weekend. What a great achievement and well deserved. A big well done also to all those that took part.
Thank you to all those who attended Parents evening. We really appreciate the time to see you and discuss you child’s progress.
We were delighted to welcome Boco Arts into School on Thursday for a Workshop with Years 4, 5 and 6. The children thoroughly enjoyed the session and all the teachers commented on how focused the children were on the task. They made a recording of the children’s performance and we will let you know the details of when we will be able to view it.
Please do remember that every child does need a pair of trainers in school at all times. We cannot allow the children to take part in sport at the field and not have a change of footwear. They come back to school extremely muddy.
It was lovely to see all the superheroes in school today and we raised lots of money for Comic Relief. There were lots of fantastic costumes and the children and teachers had a lot of fun.
Some of the Upper School children helped to make Easter cards today to deliver to Adelaide Nursing Home, which is just along the road from us. We were able to perform a concert there before Christmas, albeit in their car park and we thought it might be nice to make the residents personalised cards. We also plan to perform for them again in the Summer Term.
Plans are in place for a fun last day of term. Will be visited in the morning by a special visitor which we hope might bring us a chocolate treat. Then in the afternoon we will dance the time away at the Deepdene Disco. Plans are also in place for a House fundraiser after the Easter holidays where I believe we are going to be pirates for the day. Details to follow me hearties!
Our Upper School cooking club was a real success when school was closed, and because of this Isabella would like to continue to offer three more sessions in the Easter holidays. Please look out for the details of this next week. You can attend one of the sessions or all three. I’m sure we will once again be making some delicious food.
Have a lovely weekend.
