Sport at Deepdene is for everyone, and we endeavour to offer a wide range of activities and opportunities to our students in order to ensure that every child grows to have a love of sport that will continue in later life.

Our Sports Programme, under the leadership of Head of PE Mr James Adams, includes Hockey, Cricket, Football, Rugby, Tennis and Swimming.

Pupils in Years 4, 5 and 6 enjoy a fantastic weekly programme of Science and Sport at Roedean, taking full advantage of the wonderful space and facilities an indoor pool and the new full-sized floodlit hockey astro pitch, giving them the chance to experience the breadth, scope and opportunities of a Senior School while still at Prep School.

The Lower School also has use of a pitch at Wish Park, and students use the local sports centre for Badminton and Swimming lessons.

During the Summer Term students enjoy watersports at Hove Lagoon, and every year children from Deepdene train for and take part in the ISA Cross Country Run. Recently, a team of swimmers from Deepdene also completed a Channel Crossing Swim in distance, in an indoor pool.
